Wriddhiman Saha has always been an understudy to the exceptional MS Dhoni, but since the latter's retirement, Saha has shown just what he is capable of. Against RCB, the Indian keeper, ran back almost fifty meters and still had the ability to take a brilliant full-stretch diving catch.

IPL 2017 is the biggest cricket show on the planet for a reason with players producing moments of genius to constantly amaze fans. Wriddhiman Saha produced one such moment when took a beauty to get rid of Mandeep Singh in the ongoing KXIP vs RCB match.

On the very first delivery of the 13th over, Varun Aaron tested Mandeep Singh's resolve with a short ball. Needing to get some runs on the board, the RCB batsman decided to go for it and attempted a pull shot but could only manage a thick top edge. The ball rocketed into the sky and seemed to stay there for an eternity while Saha ran back almost fifty meters and tried to position himself under the ball. With the ball finally making its way down, Saha appeared to have misjudged it but despite that, he stretched himself and caught the ball to complete a beautiful piece of fielding which could easily be an early contender for the catch of the season.

Saha is synonymous with such efforts. The wicketkeeper had earlier taken a blinder against Australia as well when he had dived full length towards his right to dismiss Steve O'Keefe for a duck on a Umesh Yadav delivery.
