Indian opener KL Rahul and pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar are the favorite batsman and bowler respectively for David Warner in the current Indian team, he revealed yesterday. While Rahul was a part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad earlier, Kumar is still a part of the team, in which Warner has been the skipper.

When a fan asked Australia vice-captain and Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner on Twitter about his favorite Indian batsman and bowler from the current team, Warner replied, "@BhuviOfficial and @klrahul11.”

Although the Indian team comprises more accomplished batsmen and bowlers than Rahul and Bhuvneshwar, Warner’s reply hasn’t surprised many, given both of them played with Whim in the IPL. Rahul was Warner's opening partner at Hyderabad before moving to Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2016, whereas Kumar is still a part of the Sunrisers set-up.

Despite the brickbats they receive, the Indian Premier League (IPL) and other T20 leagues around the world have definitely fostered increased interactions among players from across countries.

Warner's first match in the IPL will see him face off against KL Rahul as the two finalists from last year kick off the tenth edition on April 5.
