Australia batsman David Warner thanked the Indian fans for their support and apologized for the cancelled Hyderabad T20I as he returns to Australia after the tour-end. The stand-in skipper for Australia’s T20I series managed to get a positive result with his side levelling the series 1-1.

David Warner is now well acquainted with India and its fans owing to his years of participation in the Indian Premier League. The stand-in skipper had even expected some support from the crowd for their Sunrisers Hyderabad captain on Friday but to everone's misfortune, the match didn’t take place.

So, while leaving Hyderabad, the skipper posted a farewell salute to the Indian fans writing, “Thanks India for hosting us once again. We absolutely love coming to your country and playing cricket. Sorry about last night Hyderabad but I hope to see you all again next year.”

After Steven Smith remained hugely unsuccessful in coping with India’s dominance during the ODI series and returned home with a shoulder injury, Warner took his place in the T20I series and helped Australia to their most dominant win of the tour in Guwahati. Contrary to most of the Australian players, Warner had a good ODI series where he scored 245 runs.

Australia could have managed a T20I series win in Hyderabad on Friday after the previous match saw the players getting their form going. Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium is more like a home ground for the New South Wales-man now and he was looking to get a good knock after poor displays in the previous two T20Is. However, the wet and soft outfield made sure that this didn’t happen.

Chahal or Axar? Who will take more wickets for India?
