Despite not participating in two of the 10 IPL seasons, Chennai Super Kings have been one of the most successful teams in the tournament and their two titles are a testimony to their dominance in the league. And after serving two years of suspension, the team will try to recreate the past magic.

Despite being one of the two teams to have been banned by the landmark Supreme Court judgement in 2015, there is no doubt to the fact that the franchise has been the lifeline of the IPL. In the eight seasons they participated in, they reached 8 playoffs, 4 finals, winning 2 titles - the one constant in the ever-altering IPL landscape.

They have gone with their tried and trusted formula and ended up being successful, more often than not. Very rarely has any team dominated them and with a huge fan base to cheer them up in any type of situations, any target is chaseable for them at their fortress Chepauk. While the future is always uncertain - especially for the way they went about their auction - the Chennai fans had a host of good memories to gossip about.

With the franchise making a comeback to the league after a gap of two years, we have this special quiz for you to test your knowledge on Chennai Super Kings. Do take this quiz and let us know your result by tweeting us on @IndiaSportscafe.
