BCCI CEO Rahul Johri finally gave his version of things amidst the sexual allegations against him during his stint with Discovery channel, in front of the three-member probe panel appointed by COA. The two alleged victims have also given their statement with the report to be submitted on Thursday.

The incident came to light amidst the "MeToo" movement going on in the country when an author, namely Harnidh Kaur, decided to share it that involved an unnamed person claiming to be Johri's ex-colleague during his Discovery Channel days, where he had worked from 2001 to 2016. Johri then became the first CEO of BCCI after the cricket body had to go through major changes under the purview of Lodha Committee recommendations.

CoA was, however, quick to take actions, following the allegations, as the CEO was not allowed to attend meetings although he wasn’t asked to step down by COA head Vinod Rai despite seven cricket associations and another COA member Diana Edulji demanding his sack vehemently. PTI has now reported that Johri was deposed before the panel on Tuesday and the other two victims, whose dates of appearances couldn’t be confirmed through.

"Yes, Rahul appeared before the panel in person before the probe panel. Since two of the alleged victims have already deposed along with CoA members and one of the principal office-bearer (treasurer Anirudh Chaudhary), only CEO was left," a senior BCCI official told PTI on conditions of anonymity.

"One of the alleged victims deposed before the panel via Skype. The other was the latest complainant. However, I won't be able to confirm whether she appeared in person or deposed via video conferencing," the official said, reported PTI.

The three-member panel, comprising of Allahabad High Court judge (Retd) Rakesh Sharma, former Delhi Commission of Women (DCW) chairperson Barkha Singh, and lawyer-activist Veena Gowda, is scheduled to submit the report on November 15 although the requirement of further investigation has still been unknown.
