VIDEO | Shardul Thakur folds his arms to say “Sorry, MSD” after two fumbles on one ball

MS Dhoni commands the highest level of respect inside the Chennai Super Kings dressing room and Shardul Thakur must have an idea of Dhoni's wrath of a bad fielding day. When the pacer made a couple of fielding errors on a single delivery, he instantly folded hands to say “Sorry, MSD”.

On the last delivery of the 8th over, Ravindra Jadeja bowled a flatter delivery wide outside the off-stump and Yuvraj Singh was more than happy to slash it wide of backward point. There was no brute force in the cut and Shardul Thakur, who was fielding at that position, should have been able to collect it.

However, the Mumbai-born pacer was not clearly attentive and his anticipation faltered as the ball slipped from his hand. Luckily for him, the ball had touched his hand and slowed down thanks to the momentum disturbance. MS Dhoni was standing near the stumps as Yuvraj Singh and Suryakumar Yadav wanted to take the single.

Instead of simply sending the ball to Dhoni, Thakur then made a completely wayward throw and it missed the CSK skipper by a mile and taking the benefit of the same, the Mumbai duo completed the single as well. Dhoni was not happy with the miss at all and gave a disappointed look, but Thakur tried to light the moment with folded hands, and presumably, he said, “Sorry, MSD” in the process.
