VIDEO | Hardik Pandya facepalms himself with both hands after two catches go begging in one over

After Hardik Pandya’s return to international cricket, he has hardly lost his cool and apart from that odd “Kya Yaar” comment to Shikhar Dhawan, he has remained largely silent. However, he failed to control his emotion after two catches were dropped in his one over, and facepalmed to show his anger.

When you bowl a very good spell and don’t get awarded for it, it is only natural that you will be frustrated. Hardik might have been trying hard to suppress his anger after the Talk Show controversy, but such was Indian fielders fragility that he eventually lost it.

On the first ball of the 13th over, Pandya bowled a brilliant slower ball, and that deceived Colin Munro as the latter played the ball early. He was not in a position to play the pull shot to perfection as he checked it in the last second and got a top-edge on it. It was a catch served in a platter for Khaleel Ahmed, who just had to move a couple of yards to effect the catch. However, he went in a reverse cup style and dropped a sitter which frustrated Hardik, but he controlled himself and went ahead to bowl the next delivery.

To add insult to his injury, Munro hit him for a four and six consecutively on the next two deliveries he faced. The frustration reached epic proportion when Munro took him for another big one on the penultimate ball of the over and that catch evaded Kuldeep Yadav, who failed to judge it and let it go for a six. That was enough for Hardik to rue his bad luck as he facepalmed twice before going on to bowl the last ball of the over. He was burning with rage.
