After CCI, PCA removes Pakistan cricketers’ portraits from Mohali Stadium

PCA displayed solidarity with the families of Pulwama attack victims and removed Pakistani cricketers' portraits from Mohali Stadium as a humble step. 2011 World Cup Memories, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s portrait were some of the photographs to be removed from the PCA stadium.
Ajay Tyagi, PCA Treasurer, announced that PCA wanted to show its solidarity for the families of the terror attack victims and the decision to remove the portraits of Pakistan cricketers around the stadium was taken after a meeting consisting of the cricket body's office bearers at Chandigarh. He said that the whole nation was moved by the incident and that PCA was on the same page too.
"As a humble step, the PCA has decided to show its solidarity with the families of martyrs of the Pulwama attack. There is so much anger in the nation against the heinous attack and PCA is no different in this," Tyagi said, reported PTI.
About 15 photographs were removed from the galleries, long run, reception and the ‘hall of fame’ area. The photographs included the memories of the 2011 World Cup semi-finals, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and other cricketers including Shahid Afridi, Javed Miandad, and Wasim Akram.
