ICC World Cup 2019 | Aakash Chopra trolls Shoaib Akhtar after latter’s 'cornered tiger' remark

After Shoaib Akhtar asked the world not to corner Pakistan, Aakash Chopra trolled the pacer by saying no one but Pakistan do it to themselves. Chopra also refused to buy the idea that Pakistan do well under pressure, and said had that been the case, Pakistan would’ve 'won more than one World Cup'.

Babar Azam scored probably his best ODI century, and his extreme calm under pressure resulted in the 1992 World Champions getting the better of New Zealand in a convincing manner in tricky batting conditions. The win became extra special as that came on the back of a lot of criticism back home which eventually added more pressure on the Pakistanis.

Akhtar, who was one of the many critics of the team during the team’s bizarre run of form, took the opportunity to praise Pakistan by sharing a video on Twitter. He wrote, “Never corner Pakistan. We become tigers when you do that. Congratulations & well done boys.”

Aakash Chopra found it rather amusing from his perspective and retweeting the video, he stated that it was only Pakistan’s doing that they found themselves in such a situation and no one really cornered them.

“But who corners Pakistan, brother? It’s your own team that plays itself into a situation that demands desperate measures....and it’s not that Pak bounces back every time too. Or else would’ve won more than one World Cup,” Chopra wrote.

That, however, doesn't seem to have stopped the tearaway quick, who quoted Ricky Ponting's statement, proving Pakistan's unpredictable nature.
