Indian captain Rohit Sharma is one of the few names to make a significant impact in the updated ICC ODI rankings by cementing the second spot in the chart. However, Pakistan’s Babar Azam holds the crown position with 824 ratings, and Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka moves to the eighth spot.
Following an impressive outing in the Sri Lanka ODI series, amassing 157 runs in three innings, Rohit pipped Shubman Gill to cement the second position in the ICC ODI rankings. Three Indians make it to the top five with Virat Kohli retaining the fourth position.
Following his impressive outing against India, Nissanka jumped one spot up to the eighth position with 708 ratings. Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Steven Smith jumped one spot up to gain the 20th and 21st position respectively.
There’ve been some changes in the Men’s Test rankings as well. Keshav Maharaj moved to 21st rank after a blissful performance in the first Test against West Indies at Queen’s Park Oval. His ally, Temba Bavuma showed up at the 16th position after an impactful performance with the bat in the same Test.
