Toss can be crucial in day-night games in India, especially with the onset of dew, and understandably, KL Rahul was pumped up after winning the toss against South Africa in Visakhapatnam. The Indian skipper tried to spin the coin with his left hand and ended India’s toss hoodoo after 20 ODIs.

‌KL Rahul walked up to the middle for the toss with India having lost the spin of the coin consecutively in the last 20 ODIs. And no surprise, he was elated and pumped after winning the toss against South Africa in the third and final ODI against South Africa in Visakhapatnam.

After exhausting all possible options, the Indian skipper chose to spin the coin with his left hand, and fortunately for him, it ended up giving him the entitlement to choose first. He took a moment to digest the fact before wearing a wide smile and pumping his left hand in ecstasy.

His counterpart Temba Bavuma looked perplexed at Rahul’s jubilation before the wicketkeeper-batter opted to bat. Meanwhile, there were celebrations from the other side as well, with Harshit Rana exchanging high-fives and jumping onto the support staff as though India had clinched the decider.

Rahul was given a hero’s welcome as he walked back amid congratulatory handshakes and pats on the back. Harshit came running to the Indian skipper to shake hands and congratulate him. Twitter was in splits as celebrations started even before the first ball was bowled at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium.
