IND vs SA | Twitter stunned as Gambhir runs out of patience to lose cool after Arshdeep goes astray

Arshdeep Singh has always been seen as a bowler who can nail his yorkers with utmost precision, but he lost his bearings during the second T20I against South Africa. The Indian pacer bowled seven wides against Quinton de Kock in his third over, after getting hit for a six off the first ball.

‌South Africa had a cautious start against India after being put in at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh on Thursday. However, Quinton de Kock shifted gears admirably, smashing four sixes and a four in the powerplay, to take the Proteas to 53/1 at the end of six overs.

He completed his half-century in the ninth over, in just 26 balls, as South Africa sat prettily at 90/1 at the halfway mark. And the southpaw showed no signs of slowing down, starting Arshdeep Singh’s third over with a majestic six down the ground. That forced the bowler to go away from the batter’s arc, failing miserably with the ploy.

The bowler responded with two wides, but things became worse as he bowled three more on the trot after a dot ball. Even Indian coach Gautam Gambhir was shocked to see the ace pacer lose his radar, as he was caught on camera blasting at something.

Arshdeep’s senior mate rushed in for some help with the field placements, talking to the bowler and captain Suryakumar Yadav. The left-arm pacer bowled another wide before going on to complete a marathon 13-ball over.

Twitter was shocked as Arshdeep’s wayward bowling on his home turf silenced the otherwise enthusiastic crowd.
