ENG vs IND | Twitter shocked as Karthik wears coaching hat to predict Sudharsan's boundary on air

Commentary curse is something that has been discussed since the game began broadcasting, and Dinesh Karthik proved to be a refreshing exception. He exactly predicted a cover drive from Sai Sudharsan on air as the southpaw followed with one during the fourth Test against England in Manchester.

‌After being put into bat, India started cautiously in the fourth Test against England at Old Trafford in Manchester. Openers KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal showed patience as they bided their time in conditions favourable for the pacers. They did a wonderful job with the visitors walking in for lunch at 78/0 after 26 overs.

But both batters departed in the space of 10 overs in the second session as England found their way back into the match. Rahul was dismissed for 46 after edging Chris Woakes to the slip cordon while Jaiswal departed after completing a patient half-century.

Captain and in-form batter Shubman Gill joined Sai Sudharsan in the middle, and the pair had the task of taking the team out of a tricky situation. The left-handed batter had played out 50 deliveries for his 14 and was looking comfortable against spinner Liam Dawson.

Just then, Dinesh Karthik, hailing from the same state of Tamil Nadu, which Sudharsan plays for, commented on air that the young batter was strong on the cover drive against anything full from the spinners. The Gujarat Titans batter returned the favour in the third ball of the 45th over.

With Dawson bowling a flighted half volley outside off stump, Sudharsan kept a giant stride forward before hitting the red cherry past the cover fielder for a beautiful boundary. Twitter was in awe with the timing of the boundary as Karthik channeled his inner batting coach to come up with an excellent prediction.
