Ashwin was all set to start a new chapter of his life in the Big Bash League. But with the injury, he might have to wait for the next few months and look forward to the other T20 leagues. If Ashwin had played the current edition of the Big Bash League, he would also have been the first Indian player to have represented the team in it.

1. Ashwin’s New Chapter

Ravichandran Ashwin has been India's finest spin bowler in the past decade. Whether the team played at home or overseas, Ashwin was able to take wickets with ease. But the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024/25 turned out to be his last in the Indian jersey. He announced his retirement from all forms of international cricket in December 2024,

Following this, Ashwin did play for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2025. He also said that he would be playing the IPL for the next few years. After Ravichandran Ashwin had retired from the Indian Premier League, he made himself available for the other T20 leagues. It was not clear which T20 league he would be going for as a priority. But he had listed down some leagues where he would want to play in
