As per the latest updates by Diageo on 5 November, the company has done a review of their subsidiary Royal Challengers Sports Pvt Ltd (RCSPL). This is also the part of the company which owns the RCB team. They will be looking forward to reinvesting the funds of the RCB team to the main liquor business, due to which they are selling off the team.

The talks of Royal Challengers Bengaluru being put up on sale have persisted for a few months. Due to this reason, several companies have also shown interest in buying the team before the upcoming IPL season. According to reports, Diageo has valued the team at 2 billion US dollars, and being one of the most popular IPL teams, it has attracted several investors.

Adani Group has also shown interest in buying an IPL team for a long time.
