Royal Challengers Bengaluru have been on the headlines, as they enter the IPL 2026 edition as the defending champions. Before the season, the team also got new jersey sponsors. Qatar Airways used to be their jersey sponsors, but things have now changed for the team.

At the time when every IPL team is looking forward to the trade window, RCB is looking at some opportunities. The team has now received a new sponsorship for the upcoming edition. This further enhances their brand values, as fans would be able to watch RCB associated with a in the next season.

Call it a new sponsor or a change in sponsor, as Qatar Airways won't be available on the jersey of the team. In their place, Nothing, the mobile company, has signed themselves as the jersey sponsors of the team. Fans will now be able to see the company's logo on the jersey of the team from the next season.

1. RCB's New Jersey Sponsor

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have reportedly found a new company as their title sponsors. Qatar Airways served as the main sponsor of the team over the past few seasons. The deal between RCB and Qatar Airways was from 2023 to 2025, and the company had paid the team a total of 275 crores for the same.

But with their time coming to an end, other companies decided to take advantage of this opportunity. The London-based phone company, Nothing, has now replaced Qatar Airways as the title sponsor of the team. While it is still unclear what amount the company has paid to the team, fans expect it to be more than Qatar Airways, as RCB won the IPL in the previous season.

2. RCB on Sale

In the IPL trade window, every team is looking forward to the players which could strengthen their line-up. But the case for RCB has been completely opposite. The team might not be needing much changes to their line-up, as they enter the next season being the defending champions. However, they are now in search

Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s owners, Diageo, wanted to sell off the team for a long time. But they were not able to do it at the right price. With the team winning the IPL, the company decided it to be the right time for them to sell off the same. For this, they have quoted the reason that the company will put up the RCB's funds in the liquor business.

Moreover, it was also emphasized that the sports team has not given them much benefit in the liquor business. As per the reports, the team's owner, Diageo, has already initiated the process to sell off the team. This is likely to be completed by 31 March 2026, giving the team brand new owners

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have been valued at 2 billion dollars by the company. Along with that, as per a report, the IPL 2025 edition also helped RCB to increase its brand value. The team is now valued at a massive total of $269 million, which is the highest among all the other teams.

3. Who Could be the New Owner?

Now with Royal Challengers Bengaluru being put up on sale, the question is who could be the potential owners of the team. There are several companies that have already shown interest to buy Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and might also have entered the negotiations. Some of the notable companies include Adani Group and JSW Group.

JSW Group is already having a share in the Delhi Capitals team. If they are able to bag a deal with the RCB team, the team will also have to sell off the shares they own for Delhi Capitals. This could in turn be a long process for them, but it would be worth it if the team is eager to have 100%

Another name in this list is Adani Group. This company has already participated in various team biddings but always failed to get their hands on any team. They were way too close to get the Ahmedabad franchise in 2022, but it slipped away from their hands. Now, they will be eager to get the most valuable IPL team

Adar Poonawalla is currently the CEO of Serum Institute of India, and he is also eager to get his hands on the RCB team. His father, Cyrus Poonawalla, also tried buying an IPL team back in 2010, but lost Pune Warriors India by a mere margin. And now, Adar Poonawalla has also set his eyes on Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
