Rishabh Pant’s antics behind the wickets are well-documented, and the wicketkeeper-batter pulled was at his witty best again during the first unofficial Test against South Africa A in Bengaluru. The India A captain hugged Sai Sudharsan, who lay down at short leg, after dropping a tough chance.

‌Anshul Kamboj gave India A a good start after they opted to bowl against South Africa A in the first unofficial Test at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence Ground 1 in Bengaluru. The pacer struck first blood in the fourth over as he dismissed Lesego Senokwane for a duck, with the score reading just six.

However, Jordan Hermann and Zubayr Hamza steadied things up, scoring patient half-centuries during their 132-run partnership for the second wicket. But Hamza was priced out by Gurnoor Brar before another wicket from Tanush Kotian brought the hosts back into the contest.

With Rubin Hermann joining his brother Jordan in the middle, Kotian nearly gave his side yet another dismissal, with Sai Sudharsan putting down a tough chance of well-set Jordan. The southpaw tried to flick a ball that turned into him after pitching on a length on off stump, with Sudharsan grassing a tough chance at short leg.

He was disappointed as he lay down regretting his mistake of not bending down when the ball was delivered. But India A skipper Pant was quick to walk towards him before giving a funny hug.

He kept his hands on Sudharsan’s back before lying over him and offering a word of comfort. Just as the fielder was back on his feet, Pant exchanged high-fives with him before play continued again.

Twitter was in splits after witnessing Pant’s funny bromance with Sudharsan despite a disappointing moment on the field.

Hilarious!

Hahaha!

LOL!

Mass!

Yeah!

Red hot!

He is what he is!

Why so?

Agreed!
