Confirming it, the team posted on its socials, where Abhishek Nayar was announced as the new Head Coach.

Venky Mysore, the Chief Executive Officer of Kolkata Knight Riders, also reacted to the news of Abhishek Nayar returning to the team. He was a lot happier than ever before, as it came as positive news for the team. They had a poor season as the defending champions, but the team is now expected to come back stronger in the next season with Abhishek Nayar.

, “Abhishek has been a vital part of the Knight Riders setup since 2018, shaping our players both on and off the field. His understanding of the game and connection with players have been key to our growth. We’re thrilled to see him take over as Head Coach and lead KKR into its next chapter.”

2. Background and Transition

He played in the IPL till 2014, for several teams such as Mumbai Indians, Pune Warriors India, Kings XI Punjab, and Rajasthan Royals. After his last season in 2014, he went on to pursue a new chapter of his career in coaching.

Around 2018, he became a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders. At this time, he was just working with the academy and even as a support staff member to the team. Eventually, he also made his way to the main support staff and was a part of the team since then,

This change in the coaching staff of KKR, having Abhishek Nayar as the Head Coach of the team, comes after the team's performance in the previous season.
