Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, fresh from signing Iñigo Martínez from Barcelona, are reportedly eyeing Ferran Torres as a backup for Cristiano Ronaldo. Barcelona are open to talks, though Torres, coming off his best scoring season, may play a bigger role under Hansi Flick with Robert Lewandowski nearing 37.

For the second time this summer, Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr are targeting a Barcelona player, following their recent capture of defender Iñigo Martínez. Reports from journalist Sacha Tavolieri indicate that Al-Nassr now have Ferran Torres in their sights as a potential backup to Cristiano Ronaldo. Barcelona are reportedly open to negotiating a transfer, although the Saudi club may need to clear a foreign player slot before moving forward.

Torres, nicknamed “The Shark,” enjoyed his most prolific goalscoring season last year and is expected to play a significant role under new coach Hansi Flick in 2025-26. With Robert Lewandowski turning 37 soon, Flick may manage the Polish striker’s minutes more carefully, potentially giving Torres more opportunities in attack. While Al-Nassr’s pursuit signals their ambition, a move would be surprising given Torres’ recent form and his growing importance in Barcelona’s plans.

The Spanish forward’s departure would also leave a gap in the squad at a time when the club is already dealing with player registration challenges due to La Liga’s financial rules. Whether the Saudi side can convince both Barcelona and Torres remains uncertain, but their interest adds another twist to an already busy summer transfer window for the Catalan giants.
