Manchester United are targeting Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has scored 265 career goals, as their new striker for £40m. The 30-year-old netted 14 goals in his last Premier League season with Fulham and 47 in 51 SPL games for Al-Hilal. Mitrovic is ready to take a pay cut to return to England.

With the 2025–26 season approaching, Manchester United are preparing for a major overhaul in attack, and Aleksandar Mitrovic has emerged as a key target. The Red Devils have already secured the £62.5 million signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves and are close to sealing a deal for Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo, who has chosen United over other Premier League clubs despite the lack of European football.

Now, attention has turned to Mitrovic, a prolific striker with 265 senior club goals. According to talkSPORT’s Ben Jacobs, United are considering a £40 million move for the 30-year-old Serbian, who is open to taking a significant pay cut to return to the Premier League. Mitrovic enjoyed a strong 2022–23 EPL season with Fulham, scoring 14 goals in 24 matches before moving to Al-Hilal, where he has netted 47 goals in 51 league appearances.

Al-Hilal are targeting Victor Osimhen and need to make room in their foreign players quota, making Mitrovic available for transfer. While Fulham are not interested in a reunion, West Ham and Everton could challenge United’s bid. However, United must offload players like Garnacho, Rashford, Sancho, and Antony before pushing for additional signings beyond Cunha and Mbeumo.
