Chelsea, having secured Champions League football with a top-five finish, are intensifying their search for a new striker. Targets include Hugo Ekitike, Victor Osimhen, and Jonathan David. Osimhen hinted at a departure from Galatasaray via an Instagram post featuring Kodak Black’s, suggesting his time in Turkey is nearing an end.

When the 2024-25 season concluded with Chelsea securing a top-five finish and Champions League qualification, the club intensified its pursuit of a top striker in the summer transfer window. With Nicolas Jackson unavailable during the run-in, Chelsea still managed crucial wins, boosting their transfer plans with increased financial flexibility. Among the names on their radar are Benjamin Sesko, Viktor Gyokeres, Alexander Isak, Liam Delap, Hugo Ekitike, Victor Osimhen, and Jonathan David.

However, Alexander Isak is likely off the table following Newcastle United’s own qualification for the Champions League. That leaves six serious targets for Chelsea, with decisions reportedly being made behind the scenes. Hugo Ekitike, who impressed at Eintracht Frankfurt, remains firmly on the club’s shortlist. Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen appears to be bidding farewell to Galatasaray, where he was on loan. In an Instagram post, he played Kodak Black’s “Before I Go,” signaling a possible exit.

While Osimhen developed an unexpected connection with the Turkish club, a permanent move there seems unlikely. Chelsea, under new manager Enzo Maresca, are set for a decisive summer in the transfer market, with Osimhen and Ekitike emerging as priority targets. A £161 million deal for Osimhen is reportedly in discussion, indicating Chelsea's intent to land a marquee striker.
