Arsenal have kept eight consecutive clean sheets across competitions from 1 October to 4 November 2025, equalling the English top-flight record held by Preston (1889) and Liverpool (1920). If they shut out Sunderland on 8 November, Arsenal will set a new national record of nine. They also boast ten straight wins this season.

In the 2025 season, Arsenal have equalled a 122-year-old record by keeping eight consecutive clean sheets across all competitions between October and November. This remarkable defensive run included matches in the Premier League, Champions League and League Cup, with the Gunners not conceding a single goal during that period. The streak began with a 2-0 win over Olympiacos on 1 October and extended through to a 3-0 victory against Slavia Prague on 4 November.

This achievement matches the all-time English top-flight record previously held by Preston North End in 1889 and Liverpool in 1920. Arsenal had last held the same record in 1903. Should they manage another shutout against Sunderland on 8 November, Mikel Arteta’s side will set a new national record with nine consecutive clean sheets. The team is also on a 10-match winning streak, just one short of their 11-game run under Unai Emery in 2018.

Among historical records, Manchester United hold the longest Premier League-only clean sheet streak with 14 during the 2008-09 season, while Liverpool went 11 games unbeaten without conceding across all competitions in 2005 under Rafael Benítez. Arsenal now stand on the brink of rewriting English football history.
