Liverpool, however, plan to extend his contract until 2030 with an improved deal.

For the Spanish giants Real Madrid, the international break has brought both transfer excitement and encouraging injury updates. Reports from COPE suggest that Antonio Rudiger and Aurelien Tchouameni are nearing their return to action and could be available for selection by late November. Rudiger, who suffered a hamstring injury in early September and has featured only once this season, is back in pitch training and might return for the UEFA Champions League clash against Olympiacos on November 26 or the La Liga fixture against Girona on November 30.

Meanwhile, Tchouameni, sidelined with a muscle injury after the Liverpool defeat, is expected to recover in time for those matches as well. Off the field, Real Madrid have reportedly joined Manchester City in the race to sign Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, valued at around €85 million. The 25-year-old Hungarian international, under contract until 2028, has impressed with two goals and five assists in 16 appearances this season.

Known for his versatility, Szoboszlai has played across midfield, on the wings, and even at right-back. While Real Madrid and City monitor his progress, Liverpool are keen to extend his deal until 2030 with improved wages, making any potential transfer difficult to secure.
