Brighton have identified Real Madrid’s 21 year old forward Gonzalo Garcia as a potential January target. Garcia impressed at the Club World Cup with four goals and one assist in six games after scoring 25 times for Castilla B last season. Limited to one start in twelve La Liga matches this campaign, he is attracting interest from several clubs. Brighton are exploring a possible loan if Real Madrid allow a temporary move.

After the latest round of transfer discussions, Brighton and Hove Albion have reportedly set their sights on Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Garcia as a possible addition for the upcoming January window. The twenty-one-year-old made a strong impression under Xabi Alonso at the Club World Cup in the United States, scoring four goals and providing one assist across six matches. His performances followed an impressive previous season in which he netted twenty-five goals for Real Madrid Castilla B.

Despite his rise, Garcia has struggled for regular minutes in the current campaign and has started only one of the first twelve league matches. With Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Brahim Diaz and young signing Franco Mastantuono ahead of him, the academy product has largely featured from the bench. Reports suggest that Brighton are among the clubs monitoring whether Real Madrid would allow a loan move, joining others such as Leeds United and Sunderland who had explored interest during the summer.

Garcia has stated that his preference is to remain at Real Madrid, but his short term future may depend on squad fitness and the club’s assessment of his development. Brighton continue to build a reputation for nurturing young attacking talents, including Stefanos Tzimas and Charalampos Kostoulas.
