Juventus defender Gleison Bremer will have surgery for a torn meniscus in his left knee, diagnosed in Lyon. The 28-year-old, who previously missed most of last season due to an ACL injury, could be sidelined for a month. Juventus, fifth in Serie A with 12 points, is already missing Juan Cabal after a thigh injury, adding pressure on coach Igor Tudor.

Going to the operating room, Juventus defender Gleison Bremer is set to undergo surgery for a torn meniscus ligament in his left knee. The 28-year-old centre-back, who struggled last season due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury, was diagnosed with the tear in Lyon on Monday morning. Juventus confirmed that Bremer will have a selective arthroscopic meniscectomy in the coming hours.

Italian media have reported that Bremer could be sidelined for about a month, posing a challenge for coach Igor Tudor, as Juventus prepares to face high-flying Como in Serie A on Sunday. The setback adds to Juve’s defensive woes, with fellow defender Juan Cabal already out due to a thigh injury sustained during the team’s 2-2 Champions League draw against Villarreal earlier this month. Currently, Juventus sits fifth in the Serie A table with 12 points and has drawn its last five matches across competitions.

Bremer’s absence is a significant blow for the team, which is seeking stability in defense amid injury concerns. The club will rely on Tudor and the remaining squad members to maintain form while Bremer recovers from surgery. The player’s return will be closely monitored as Juventus navigates a challenging stretch of fixtures.
