Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal shared his deep passion for watches with Esquire Spain. His first timepiece was a steel Rolex Daytona bought during his debut year at Madrid. Since then, his collection has grown to include Rolex Datejust, Yacht-Master, Patek Philippe Aquanaut, and Tudor Black Bay Chrono, with his favorite being the Patek Philippe Nautilus 5740.

As the Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal opened the doors of his Madrid home to Esquire Spain, it became clear that football isn’t his only passion. Among the trophies and memorabilia stood shelves filled with books on watches, a reflection of his deep admiration for horology. Carvajal revealed that his fascination began during his early days at Real Madrid, when he purchased his first luxury timepiece, a steel Rolex Daytona.

At the time, he noted, the model wasn’t as hard to find or as sought after as it is today. Since then, his appreciation for fine craftsmanship and the intricate art of watchmaking has only grown. When asked which watch best represents his personality, Carvajal identified it with the Patek Philippe Nautilus Perpetual Calendar 5740 in gold, describing it as “timeless, sporty, elegant, and fine.”

His impressive collection features pieces from several prestigious brands, including a Rolex Datejust, a Rolex Yacht-Master, a green Patek Philippe Aquanaut, and a Tudor Black Bay Chrono with a pink dial. The Champions League winner’s refined taste and eye for detail reveal a collector who values both the technical mastery and style of luxury watches, proving that his love for precision extends far beyond the football pitch.
