Dabang Delhi skipper Joginder Narwal has said that he never plays for his self and his own performance doesn’t bother him. On the other hand, after coming returning to the league, Nitin Tomar mentioned that it was “extremely satisfying” and he takes pride in being able to help the team.

Although Dabang Delhi won the game against Puneri Paltan yesterday and their coach Krishan Kumar Hooda praised the defensive unit at the press conference, skipper Joginder Narwal had a rare off day at the office. He got out on four occasions while attempting a tackle and collected only one point in the entire game. However, while addressing the media, the Delhi skipper stated that he plays for the team and individual performance doesn’t matter.

“I never play for myself or worry about that aspect. I play for the team. It wouldn’t bother me if I finished with zero points if the team wins,” Joginder was quoted as saying by the PKL website.

On the other hand, despite the loss, Puneri Paltan will be a happy team with the return of Nitin Tomar. Tomar played his first game of the season after recovering from injury and managed to bag eight points against Delhi. Tomar explained that he is hopeful of performing well for the team in the upcoming matches of the league.

“It was extremely satisfying. I take pride in being able to help the team. I felt good about my performance and I hope we can keep improving and play well in the upcoming games,” Tomar told reporters after the game.
