U Mumba has extended heartfelt wishes to the India Women's Kabaddi Team as they head to Dhaka for the 2nd Women's Kabaddi World Cup 2025. A full strength squad and staff were seen in the official send off photo. The team aims to deliver a strong performance and bring the trophy home with pride.

Being the team that wished India all the best for the tournament, U Mumba joins the celebrations as the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025 delivers an action-filled start in Dhaka. The second edition of the global event has returned after 13 years and is being hosted at the Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium in Bangladesh from November 17 to 24. A total of 11 nations are competing, including India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Uganda and Germany in Group A, while Chinese Taipei, Iran, Poland, Kenya, Nepal and Zanzibar form Group B.

Argentina were initially on the list but withdrew before the first match. India, the defending champions from the 2012 Patna edition, started strongly and became the first team to secure a place in the semi finals after winning their first three group stage games. Hosts Bangladesh opened the tournament with a 42-22 win over Uganda. This year’s event also marks an important milestone because it is the first Kabaddi World Cup, across both men and women, to be held outside India.

The tournament was earlier planned for Rajgir in Bihar, then shifted to Hyderabad, before finally being moved to Dhaka. India and Iran continue to stand out as the two traditional giants of women’s kabaddi, while Chinese Taipei’s steady rise adds more depth to the competition. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi finals.
