After the clash at the SDAT Multi Purpose Indoor Stadium in Chennai, U Mumba marched to a commanding 40-25 victory over Gujarat Giants in the Pro Kabaddi League, climbing to fourth place on the points table. The star of the evening was Sandeep Kumar, who delivered yet another standout performance with 16 raid points, while defenders Rinku and Sunil Kumar secured High Fives to underline the team’s all-round dominance.

U Mumba took control from the outset, racing to a 10-6 lead by the tenth minute, with Sandeep dismissing key opposition players like Nitin Panwar and Mohammadreza Shadloui. The defensive unit, anchored by Sunil and Rinku, consistently blocked the Giants’ efforts, while Ajit Chouhan and Amirmohammad Zafardanesh contributed in attack.

The first half reached a turning point when Sandeep’s raids triggered an ALL OUT, sending U Mumba ahead 23-11 at the break. The second half followed a similar pattern as U Mumba tightened their grip. Another ALL OUT by the ninth minute extended their lead to 33-16, effectively ending any hopes of a Giants comeback. Despite late changes, Gujarat failed to break through, and U Mumba’s balanced raiding and defence ensured a massive 15-point win.
