When the Patna Pirates faced Bengaluru Bulls at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium in New Delhi on Thursday, the match turned into a thrilling contest that went down to a tiebreaker. Both teams fought fiercely during regulation time, ending in a 38-38 deadlock. Ayan Lohchab led the Pirates with a Super 10, while Navdeep contributed four crucial tackles. For Bengaluru Bulls, Alireza Mirzaian’s ninth Super 10 kept them in contention, despite an eleven-point comeback in the second half.

The game began with Ayan and Alireza exchanging early points, while defenders like Sanjay, Ashish Birwal, Sudhakar M, and Akash Shinde made key stops. Patna gained momentum in the second quarter as Deepak Sankar and Navdeep’s Super Tackle helped the Pirates build a four-point lead. By halftime, the Pirates were ahead 16-13, thanks to consistent raids from Ayan.

In the second half, Patna dominated with an ALL OUT and a two-point raid by Ankit Rana, pushing their lead to 27-16. Bengaluru fought back, closing the gap to 30-30, with Alireza leveling the score at 38-38. In the tiebreaker, Mandeep Kumar’s two-point raid proved decisive, and combined with contributions from Ayan and Deepak Singh, Patna Pirates clinched a 6-4 victory over Bengaluru Bulls.
