Welcome to the 3rd edition of our exciting, informative & concise (300 word) newsletter on Indian sports.

Onto cricket

Jadeja wreaked havoc as India spun out SA within three days. This is India’s 7 consecutive test win playing at home; of this, the last 4 were over in 3 days each. Also, 19 of 20 SA wickets were taken by spinners. 3 day again saw – Saha dropping catches, Mishra castling ABD and batsmen playing Jadeja for his spin and getting out. Once again!

On to #All-Stars match! Truly lived up to its billing, full of nostalgia! Tendulkar’s majestic on-drive SIX (memories of Sharjah!), Akhtar (faster than most Indian pacers!) bouncing out Hayden, Sangakarra, Pointing! Also, Rhodes sweeping and reverse-sweeping fast bowlers - Childhood all over again! It all ended with Warne’s Warriors beating Tendulkar’s Blasters with 16 balls to spare.

Asian Archery Championships

Great day for India! We picked up 3 Golds and 2 silvers. Rajat Chouhan was the stand-out performer bagging both the Individual and the Team Gold. India however couldn’t match its performance in the previous edition (2013) where they won 4 Gold medals. Pity that Compound Archery, where India dominated winning 3 of 5 Golds available, is not part of Olympics – there is a petition on-going to get it (Please vote!).

#LetsFootball

North East United FC (NEU FC), to everyone’s surprise, beat Atletico De Kolkata (ATK) 1-0 once again thanks to Simao Sabrosa’s set-piece skills. With this win, 4 points now separate Goa (1 place) & NEU FC (7 place) at the half-way stage – tantalizingly close!

Boxing

Vijender Singh earned himself another Knock-Out win in his growing Pro Boxing career – the bout was over faster than the time it takes cook a Maggi - Seriously! Read more!

Signing off until tomorrow!
