Dutch Open 2016 | Ajay Jayaram eases into quarterfinals


Defending champion Ajay Jayaram reached the men’s singles quarterfinals of the Dutch Open Grand Prix with a straight games win over Norway’s Marius Myhre. However, Parupalli Kashyap lost to Estonia's Raul Must in what turned out to be a mixed day for India.
After thrashing Bulgaria's Philip 
Jayaram, a three-time Dutch Open winner, began his campaign by defeating Finland's Henri Aarnio 21-16, 21-11 in the opening round.
Meanwhile, 11th seed Kashyap went down 18-21, 18-21 to Must who had in the second round defeated another Indian Lakhanee Sarang 21-17, 21-17.
In men’s doubles,  top seeds Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy lost to Jacco Arends and Ruben 
In women’s doubles, Meghana Jakkampudi and Poorvisha S Ram lost 21-10, 21-9 to fourth-seeded
