Hardik Pandya did miss a few months of action due to an injury. And his comeback was set to take place today, as Baroda went to play against Punjab in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Since this was the match when Hardik Pandya made his comeback, fans expected it to be a close one, and

Pandya announced his comeback in style, as he dominated with both bat and ball. Moreover, Hardik Pandya continued his style to play as a finisher for the team, whenever he played. Despite the chase being big, he was able to help the team to win the game with ease, and also received the Player of the Match award.

1. Pandya's Injury and Return

Hardik Pandya was out of action for almost two months for the Indian cricket team. He last played an international game for India in the Asia Cup 2025, when he got injured. This happened in the clash against Sri Lanka, where Pandya injured his quadriceps, and he even of the tournament against Pakistan.

Upon the checks, it was revealed that the injury is not severe and he will be able to recover without any surgery. But Hardik Pandya had to spend some time off the field for his recovery, and he did it at the BCCI Centre of Excellence. During his time there, India had a tour of Australia, and is also against South Africa.

Now as the team gets closer to the T20I series, Hardik Pandya is all set to make his comeback to the line-up. In order to get geared up for the team, Hardik Pandya made himself available for Baroda in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. With Pandya receiving clearance from the BCCI CoE, he played for the team in its recent clash against Punjab.

Hardik Pandya made his comeback to the field after almost two months in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He was finally a part of Baroda's playing XI for the match against Punjab. This match was expected to be super exciting, as it had some of the top stars against each other. such as Abhishek Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Prabhsimran Singh, and a lot more in this game.

Punjab was able to win the toss in this game and they decided to bat first. Hardik Pandya started as a primary bowler for Baroda in the game, but he went down costly in the beginning. But he marked his return well, dismissing Anmolpreet Singh after he had scored 69 runs off 32 balls for the team. In his spell, Hardik Pandya and conceded 52 runs in 4 overs.

Baroda also had a great start to this massive chase, as the openers looked set on the crease. But eventually, the team stood at the score of 92/2, when Hardik Pandya stepped into the crease. He went on to score 77 runs off just 42 balls with 7 fours and 4 sixes to help Baroda

Along with that, Pandya also received the much needed support from the other end. As a result, Baroda ended up winning the game by 7 wickets and Hardik Pandya had finally announced his return. He also received the POTM award in this game for scoring 77 runs and also taking a wicket for the team.

Even the fans were delighted when they saw Pandya return to the game, and one of them even decided to take a step further in this situation.
