IND vs SA | Twitter stunned as Kohli reinvents himself to rediscover peak with unreal no-look maximum

Sports continues to remind us genius has no limit, through freaks of nature such as Virat Kohli. At 37-years of age and already retired in two formats, the talisman played some unprecedented shots with an ease reminiscent of his peak, none more brilliant than a no-look maximum against Corbin Bosch.

Virat Kohli played some extraordinary shots during his unbeaten 65 against South Africa in Vizag in the third ODI

‌India cruised to their target of 271 within 40 overs in the decider against South Africa on Sunday to seal the series 2-1 in dominant style. Yashasvi Jaiswal played the starring role with his maiden ODI century in just his fourth appearance in the format, first buliding a run-a-ball 155-run opening stand with Rohit Sharma before combining with Virat Kohli for a blistering 116 runs in just 84 deliveries. In both instances, he was happy playing second fiddle while the vastly more experienced counterparts made batting look ridiculously easy -- none more so than Kohli who admitted after the game that this is the best he has played in at least the last two to three years. While that was apparent with the way he was timing the ball, the veteran showed off some new skills that he had learned which even ahd the opposition wondering if there was any stopping to the juggernaut that railed off 302 runs in the series.

After a switch of gears had taken Jaiswal into the nervous 90s, the youngster slowed his tempo back down to secure the milestone mark. Proteas sensed an opportunity to ramp up the pressure and sneak their way back into the encounter but Kohli ensured the pressure always remained on the tourists. He skipped down the ground for fun and drove the ball on the up like a dream, his pull shots springing off the willow with ridiculous ease. However, the magnum opus arrived on the final ball of the 34th over, after Corbin Bosch had already been flat-batted at midwicket for a boundary. The all-rounder dropped the ball shorter outside off-stump, only to see Kohli dance down the deck and with one dismissive whip of the wrists send the Kookaburra sailing into the night sky. To rub salt into his wounds, Kohli did not even bother looking where the ball went, only slowly lifting his head to stare directly at a hapless Bosch. The Saffa simply turned around, tilting his head and twiring his lips in admiration, while Quinton de Kock behind the stumps fluttered his eyes wildly with disbelief writ large on his face.

Twitterati was equally shook.
