The details about the IPL 2026 auction will be released by the BCCI and IPL officials by 15 November. Fans could expect it anytime, as they might even announce it today or even on the night of 14 November. The reason the announcement of the auction could have been delayed is the venue. The BCCI was looking to host the auction in India only, but it failed to find suitable venues for the same. Due to this reason, the board is now looking forward to holding the auction overseas, for which they a few places.
Abu Dhabi, Oman, and Qatar are the places where interest was shown in hosting the auction. But among them all, Abu Dhabi comes in as the frontrunner and has the highest chance to be the host of the IPL 2026 auction. Since it will be a mini auction, fans expect it to end in a day.

It has been reported that the teams will have to submit their retention and release list by 15 November.
