Babar Azam, who was once a key player in the T20I format for the Pakistan team, has now made his comeback to the squad. Fans were delighted to watch him play for the country in the shortest format of the game yet again. But his comeback didn't go well, as he was dismissed for a duck in this game.

While all the got disappointed, Babar Azam must also have a similar reaction. With this duck, he has now levelled with Shaheen Shah Afridi for having the most ducks for Pakistan in the T20I format. He is now just one duck away from levelling with Saim Ayub, who registered consecutive ducks in the Asia Cup.

1. Pakistan vs South Africa: 1st T20I

Babar Azam was a part of Pakistan's T20I team for the series against South Africa. He last played for the team in the T20I series against South Africa, where the Proteas were the hosts. Being out of action from the shortest format of the game for 10 months, fans awaited his comeback.

And it finally happened, with Babar Azam playing for the team in the first T20I game against South Africa. South Africa batted first in this game, and they were able to take advantage of the batter-friendly pitch conditions. The team ended up scoring 194 runs in the first innings with the loss of 9 wickets.

Saim Ayub and Mohammad Nawaz took 5 wickets together, as Reeza Hendricks smashed a half-century in the game. Babar Azam has strengthened his spot as one of Pakistan's best T20 batsmen these days. He is close to breaking multiple records for the team in the series against South Africa. Having more than 4000 runs in the shortest format of the game, Azam stands for having the most runs in this format.

He has played 122 innings and scored 4223 runs before the match against South Africa. As fans expected him to easily break the record of Rohit Sharma in the game and take over the record to his name, he was dismissed for a duck. This brings up yet another innings for Babar without having scored an international century.
