Arsenal and Liverpool are preparing major bids for Rodrygo as the Real Madrid forward reconsiders his future. Madrid value him at €80 to €90 million after four full appearances from 15 this season. Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta views him as a Martinelli replacement, while Liverpool have held talks as they search for a high class attacker.

In the latest round of transfer developments, Arsenal and Liverpool have emerged as the two strongest contenders to sign Real Madrid forward Rodrygo, with both clubs preparing major bids. Rodrygo, who joined Madrid from Santos for €45m in 2019, has produced 68 goals and 53 assists in 285 matches and collected major honours including two Champions League titles and three La Liga crowns.

Despite his pedigree, the 24 year old has struggled for regular starts this season, completing 45 minutes or more in only four of his 15 appearances due to competition from Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe and rising talent Arda Guler. Madrid are now willing to listen to offers in the €80m to €90m range, encouraging Liverpool to hold talks with the player’s camp after shifting focus away from Antoine Semenyo.

Arsenal’s sporting director Andrea Berta is also readying an offer and sees Rodrygo as a top tier option to strengthen the attack. Transfer insider Graeme Bailey revealed that intermediaries are exploring moves not just with Arsenal and Liverpool but also Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham. Madrid prefer to wait until the summer but may face pressure if Rodrygo pushes for a transfer during a World Cup year while the situation around Endrick adds further uncertainty.
