Already the brand ambassador for Kerala Blasters FC, Samson’s role aims to boost football engagement in Kerala, bridging cricket and football in the state.

As the English Premier League pushes to grow its presence in India, Sanju Samson has been named its official ambassador in the country and the move shows the EPL’s focus on connecting with fans in one of football’s biggest emerging markets.

Recently, Samson met Liverpool legend Michael Owen at a fan event in Mumbai, which included community activities and live match screenings. A lifelong Liverpool fan, Samson shared how football has been a part of his life since childhood in Kerala, thanks to his family’s love for the game and Owen was impressed by the large number of Arsenal supporters at the event, highlighting football’s growing appeal in India.

Samson also represents Kerala Blasters FC in the Indian Super League, showing his strong connection to football in his home state and by supporting both cricket and football, he hopes to inspire young athletes in Kerala and across India to explore multiple sports and follow their passions.
