Pakistan fans ask ICC to ban international cricket in India after Guwahati incident

Pakistan cricket fans on Twitter have urged ICC to ban international cricket in India following the Australia team bus incident in Guwahati. This comes at a time when Pakistan have just resumed international cricket on their soil after eight years since the Sri Lanka team bus attack in 2009.

It is a well-known fact that Pakistan hardly leaves any opportunity to malign their neighbour, India. Hence, they were the quickest to react when the Australia team bus incident after the Guwahati game was reported with some Pakistani fans even suggesting the International Cricket Council (ICC) to ban international cricket from India.

After India succumbed to a defeat against Australia in Guwahati, some angry fan had hurled a rock at the Aussie team bus, which was returning to the hotel. However, Assam police were quick to react and had arrested two individuals the next morning itself.

Aaron Finch had posted an image of the shattered glass from inside the bus expressing his fear and Pakistan fans replied to it in the most dramatic fashions.

Pakistan have been holding a grudge since 2009 when the Sri Lanka team was attacked by militants at Lahore following which the ICC had stopped all kind of international cricket there. India haven’t played a bilateral series with Pakistan either, which has led a fuming Javed Miandad to ask his country to boycott India at all ICC events.

Pakistan have just seen international cricket resumed on their home soil last month after eight years when South Africa's Faf de Plessis led the World XI side. In the last few years, no team has visited them, barring Zimbabwe in 2015. Sri Lanka players, who are currently playing Pakistan in UAE, have also reportedly refrained from playing the last T20I in Lahore.
