The Australian batter, Meg Lanning, is the first name which is likely to be released ahead of the Mega Auction. She was a part of Delhi Capitals Women since the start of the tournament and has led the team for three seasons. But in all the three season, the team failed to win the finals despite making consecutive appearances.

It cannot be denied that Meg Lanning led Delhi Capitals Women from front. Being a top order batter, she was able to score runs for the team at a rapid pace. If she gets released by Delhi Capitals, it would be a tough decision for the team as they will also have to find a new skipper for the team.

The New Zealand all-rounder, Amelia Kerr is also likely to be released by her team ahead of the WPL Mega Auction. Kerr has been a crucial part of Mumbai Indians Women in the tournament, but there are chances fans may not see her perform with the team in the next season. Being an all-rounder, Kerr was able to contribute to the team with both bat and ball.
