Barcelona director Deco celebrated the club’s long awaited return to the renovated Spotify Camp Nou after 909 days away. He shared messages of pride and excitement as the stadium reopens for the match against Athletic Club, marking a fresh chapter for the team with more than 45000 fans expected to witness the comeback.

After the long wait of nine hundred nine days, Barcelona are finally set to return to the Spotify Camp Nou this Saturday for their match against Athletic Club. The stadium has been under renovation since 2023, forcing the team to play away from their historic home for more than two and a half years. The comeback had been planned twice before including a proposed return in November 2024 during the club’s one hundred twenty fifth anniversary and another for the Gamper Trophy against Como in August, but both plans fell through.

This time, however, the reopening is confirmed, with more than forty five thousand supporters expected to attend. Sporting director Deco expressed his excitement through a series of messages on social media. He described the renovated ground as the future of the club and spoke of pride in witnessing the transformation of what he called the home of Barcelona.

He highlighted the emotional significance of returning to a completely renewed stadium and referred to the moment as the continuation of the club’s history. Club president Joan Laporta also spoke passionately about the return in recent interviews. With the team set to step out at the new Spotify Camp Nou, the occasion marks a symbolic restart and a major moment for the club and its supporters.
