As the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 intensifies, Jaipur Pink Panthers edged past Haryana Steelers 30-27 in Play-in 1, advancing to Eliminator 1 while the Steelers faced elimination. The Panthers started strongly with an early all-out, maintaining a lead despite a late comeback from Haryana in the second half. Aryan Redhu shone with 5 tackle points, supported by Deepanshu Khatri’s 4 tackle points, helping Jaipur hold their nerves in the final minutes.

Haryana head coach Manpreet Singh explained that the team struggled due to limited raiding opportunities after the first half and had to take higher risks. He noted that the mat favored raiders attacking forward on the leading leg, affecting the Steelers’ usual pace. Shivam and Vinay contributed points but were slower than usual, allowing Jaipur to capitalize on crucial moments.

On Naveen Kumar’s retention, Manpreet revealed that the decision would depend on his fitness, performance in upcoming nationals, and personal choice. While the Steelers are keen to retain him, if he opts for the auction, it would be entirely his decision. Naveen is currently recovering from injury and undergoing rehab to regain full fitness, with his future tied to performance and readiness for the next season.
