PKL 12 Road to Final with Three Teams Still in the Trophy Race

Only three teams remain in contention for the PKL 12 title. Telugu Titans defeated Patna Pirates 46-39 in Eliminator 3 to reach Qualifier 2, where they will face Puneri Paltan. Dabang Delhi, who edged past Puneri Paltan in a tie-breaker, await the winner in the grand final on October 31.

After the completion of the league stage, the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 entered its knockout phase with eight teams battling for the coveted title. As per the new format, the top four teams directly entered the playoffs, while the remaining four competed in play-ins for a place in the eliminators. In the play-ins, Jaipur Pink Panthers defeated Haryana Steelers 30-27, and Patna Pirates beat U Mumba 40-31, leading to the eliminations of Haryana and Mumbai.

Patna Pirates then dominated Jaipur 48-32 in Eliminator 1 to stay alive. In the Mini Qualifier, Telugu Titans overcame Bengaluru Bulls 37-32, sending the Bulls to Eliminator 2, where they lost 37-46 to Patna Pirates. However, the Pirates’ campaign ended in Eliminator 3 after a 39-46 defeat to the in-form Telugu Titans. Meanwhile, in Qualifier 1, Dabang Delhi edged out Puneri Paltan 6-4 in a tie-breaker after a 34-34 stalemate, securing the first spot in the final.

Puneri Paltan now face Telugu Titans in Qualifier 2 for the remaining place in the grand finale. The winner of that clash will challenge Dabang Delhi in the PKL 12 final on October 31, with both teams eyeing the ultimate glory after an intense season.
